This policy explains what data FirstMeetup (firstmeetup.com) collects when you visit, why, and the choices you have.
Who we are
FirstMeetup is an editorial website published by the team behind MeetNow. You can reach us at contact@firstmeetup.com.
What we collect
- Analytics (Google Analytics 4). If you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics to understand which pages are read, roughly where visitors come from (country or city level), the device and browser type, and how people navigate the site. We do not use it to identify you personally.
- Cookie consent. We store your cookie choice in a small cookie (
authenova_consent) so we do not ask again on every page. - Server logs. Our hosting provider keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser and time of request) for security and to keep the site running.
- Email. If you email us, we receive your email address and message and use them only to reply.
We have no user accounts, no comments, no newsletter and no advertising on this site.
Cookies and Google Consent Mode
We use Google Consent Mode. For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, analytics and advertising storage are denied by default until you choose otherwise in the cookie banner. Google Analytics may set cookies such as _ga and _ga_* only after consent where consent is required. You can change your choice at any time by clearing this site’s cookies in your browser, which brings the banner back.
Legal basis
We process analytics data on the basis of your consent, and server logs on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and working.
Third parties
Google Analytics is provided by Google. Data may be processed outside your country under Google’s safeguards; see Google’s privacy policy. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. We do not sell personal data.
Retention
Analytics data is kept according to the retention settings of our Google Analytics property and then deleted automatically. Emails are kept only as long as needed to handle your request.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR), you can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your personal data, object to processing, or withdraw consent. Email contact@firstmeetup.com. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
